The basic welding shielded metal arc welding ( SMAW ) course is designed to be enable participants with little to know welding experience produce acceptable quality welds using the oldest but still most widely used versatile welding process. The participants will receive instruction in the set up and adjustment of welding equipment, selection of filler metals, basic position welding techniques and be able to establish good welding quality.
